Light, dark, haptics and language
Make the app look and feel the way you want it.
Light or dark
- Tap your avatar to open the profile hub.
- Find the appearance row just above Legal.
- Switch it to the look you want.
Every screen, including the chat bubbles and the glass chrome, is designed for both, so nothing becomes hard to read when you flip it.
Haptics
Right under appearance there is a haptics switch. Leave it on for the small taps you feel when something confirms, or turn it off for a completely silent phone.
Language
- Open Settings from the profile hub.
- Tap Language.
- Choose your language from the list.
Changing the language here changes the app interface. It does not translate what other people write to you. For that, turn on message translation in Messages settings.
