How signing in works
Why there is no password, and what protects your account instead.

Kool has no passwords. You prove it is you with a six digit code sent to your email address, and after that your device holds a session.
The pieces
- A six digit code arrives by email when you sign in. It expires quickly and works once.
- Your device then holds a short lived access token that refreshes quietly in the background, so you are not asked to sign in every day.
- If a session expires or is revoked, Kool takes you back to the sign in screen with a clean message rather than a broken screen.
Why this is safer than a password
There is nothing to reuse across sites, nothing to guess and nothing to steal from another company breach. The weak point becomes your email account, which is why turning on two factor authentication in Kool matters.
Sign out
Open your profile hub and tap Log out. Kool warns you first: your messages, cached lists and images on this device will be removed. Your account and its content are untouched, and everything comes back when you sign in again.
