Disappearing messages and incognito mode
Conversations that clean up after themselves.
Disappearing messages
Open the conversation, tap the header to reach the contact screen and turn on Disappearing messages. From that point new messages in the thread are removed automatically once their time is up. Anything sent before you turned it on stays.
Incognito mode
Incognito mode is a per conversation setting in the chat menu. While it is on, the conversation behaves as a quieter space: your usual presence signals are held back for that thread.
Sealed messages
Some messages arrive sealed and need a tap to open. Unsealing happens on your device when you choose to read it.
