Start a chat
Open a conversation with one person, by name or by email address.

- Go to the Messages tab.
- Tap the compose button in the top right.
- Pick someone from Frequently contacted, or search by name.
- If they are not in your list yet, tap Add by email and type their full address.
- Tap the person to open the conversation, then write your first message.
When search finds nothing
Two different answers mean two different things.
- No one found. Try a full email address. The name you typed did not match anyone you can already see. Search again with the complete address.
- Nobody on Kool uses that address yet. The address is valid but there is no account behind it. Send them an invite instead. See Invite people to Kool.
Add someone as a contact first
Tap New contact in the same sheet to save a person before you write to them. They then show up under your contacts everywhere else in the app.
