Talk to Akili out loud
Voice mode, hands free or push to talk, with the voice and speed you like.

Tap Voice mode in Akili and the sphere appears. Speak and it answers out loud. The state is always on screen: Listening, Thinking or Speaking.
Two ways to talk
- Hands free means Akili listens and replies automatically. Good when your hands are busy.
- Push to talk means hold to speak, release to send. Good in a noisy room where hands free would trigger on everything.
Switch between them under Activation in voice settings.

If it cannot hear you
The screen asks you to enable microphone and speech access, with an Open Settings shortcut that takes you straight to the iOS permission. Microphone busy means another app is holding the microphone. Close that one and try again.
