Archive, mute, favourite and lock chats
Four swipes that keep the Messages tab under control.

Swipe a conversation in the Messages list to reveal its actions.
Archive
Archive moves a conversation out of the main list without deleting anything. Archived threads live under Archived, and a new message does not drag them back into your face. Swipe again inside the archive to Unarchive.
Mute
Mute silences notifications for that thread. The conversation stays where it is and picks up a Muted marker so you remember why it is quiet.
Favourite
Favorite pins the conversation to the top of your list. Unfavorite puts it back in order.
Lock
Lock hides the content behind your device authentication. Opening a locked chat asks you to unlock it first, which is the one to use for a conversation you would rather not have appear when you hand your phone to someone.
Delete
Deleting is separate and permanent for you. Kool asks Delete this conversation? before it goes.
